Digital identities - The next big milestone for digitization

Digital identities are a central topic at Bitkom. A successful identity ecosystem, whether by means of ID wallet, the ID card on the smartphone, or even future identity access technologies, is the necessary and next big step in the overall digitization of our country. The importance of the topic came to the fore through the hearing in the Digital Committee of the Bundestag on 04 July 2022, finally bringing together all initiatives, expert opinions and user dimensions.
