A Focus on Digital Sovereignty: Trust Services and Sovereign Cloud

Digital Sovereignty is currently a widely discussed topic and a central issue within the EU. In this presentation, D-Trust, as a qualified trust service provider, briefly highlights the importance of eIDAS trust services in this context. Together with Delos Cloud GmbH, we then use a concrete scenario to demonstrate how a potential solution is already being implemented in Germany. By strengthening digital sovereignty, digital dependencies—particularly in cloud solutions—can be reduced. At the same time, European values are reinforced, increasing trust in digital processes.
