Oliver is currently Head of digitallabor.berlin as well as Chief Digital Officer of the German Savings Banks Association (Deutscher Sparkassen- und Giroverband, DSGV). With over 35 years of experience in the banking and insurance industry, he has held various roles as developer, manager, architect, and innovation driver. He has served, among other roles, as Chief Platform Officer, Chief Architect, and Architecture Manager, and in these positions has played a key role in shaping complex systems and strategies. As Head of Innovation and Head of Architecture at a global insurance group, he specialised in the transformation and digitalisation of large insurance and banking organisations. In addition to his leadership roles, Oliver has built and led innovation teams within major financial institutions. He initiated internal incubators to implement pioneering projects. He is also recognised as a trend scout in the fintech and insurtech sectors, continuously identifying emerging industry trends and translating them into strategic initiatives. Oliver led the Customer Centric Innovation Team at SAP and served as Head of Architecture at HSBC Germany. He was responsible for several development teams and worked as a lead architect, project manager, and developer for companies including AXA, Sparkasse, Zurich, and others. In addition, Oliver has founded several successful start-ups and is (or has been) co-founder of the world’s largest mobile community. He is regularly active as a speaker, author, and presenter.
